GTUC wins BID Quality Award 2013
At the recently held Business Initiative Directions (BID) Awards for Quality in Geneva, Switzerland, GTUC won a Platinum Award for Quality Education in Ghana. These awards which are organized annually recognise institutions across the globe that are symbols of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation and a model for others in their sector.
Receiving the award on behalf of the School, the President, Dr. Osei Darkwa said, “The BID is an institution that recognizes quality across all fields of endeavour. And we are excited that we have been recognized in the company of great organizations across the globe. This is a testament and an affirmation to the good work we are doing at the school. From very humble beginnings, the institution can now boast of over 4000 students. My team and I are motivated by a sheer determination to see Africa and Ghana achieve its highest potential in terms of quality human resource. Our school will continue to pursue an aggressive path that will position it as the best leading edge technology institution in West Africa. This award is dedicated to all the hardworking teaching and non teaching staff of the University College who are passionate about imparting quality education to our young people”

GTUC Embarks on Campus Automation Processes

The Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) has outlined a number of strategic plans directed at repositioning the university to promote technology education in Ghana and to place their students well in the competitive world of technology.
University authorities have therefore taken giant initiatives to promote virtual education, increase students enrollment, implement campus automation system, expand physical infrastructure, introduce newly competitive programmes, carry out vigorous research and embark on fund-raising campaigns as part of measures towards the achievement of the objective.
Dr. Osei Dankwa, President of GTUC disclosed this on Tuesday January 29, during a special congregation ceremony held for 72 post-graduate students in various disciplines.

Kumasi Campus Students Pick Up Four Awards at GTUC Graduation

The Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) held its fourth graduation ceremony on Saturday December 1, 2012, at the forecourt of the main campus in Accra. The impressive ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang (the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast), who delivered the keynote address. In all 145 postgraduate, 360 undergraduate, and 40 undergraduate diploma certificates were awarded to deserving students who had successfully completed all the requirements for their respective degrees. 39 of the postgraduates pursued their programmes at the Kumasi Campus.
Special awards were also presented to students who had excelled in their respective programmes. In the postgraduate category, 14 of such special awards were presented, and Kumasi Campus students won 4. These students are: [Continue Reading...]
